Unmarked bass banjo Circa 1890

This is, without a doubt, one of the most bizarre and amazing banjos I have ever seen.  It is a bass banjo with a 16" head and a scale length of almost 30", and it weighs around 30 lbs.  It is beautifully made, with lovely inlaid marquetry work, beautiful carving, and simply wonderful tuners with coarse and fine tuning knobs.  It was reportedly found in St. Louis, MO, but is otherwise a mystery as to its origin.  If anyone has more information about this banjo I would love to hear about it.
