S. S. Stewart “Universal Favorite” No. 1, 5-string banjo Circa 1894, S/N 14955
Although this is not a high-grade Stewart, it is in almost mint condition and all original with the exception of the tailpiece, which should be a Stewart "common sense" tailpiece. This banjo sold for $20 in 1894.
