S. S. Stewart “Little Wonder” piccolo banjo Circa 1890, S/N 6265

This is an early Stewart piccolo banjo that pre-dates the "common sense" tailpiece usually seen on Stewart banjos.  The piccolo banjo is meant to be tuned up one whole octave above a regular banjo, which makes them easy and fun to play in string bands.  The rim is only 7" in diameter.
