Windsor "Stage" 5-string fretless banjo Circa 1890's

Although the Windsor Co. of England produced mostly zither banjos in the 1890's, they did produce a few "American" style banjos, of which this is one of the finest examples. Note the beautifully engraved metal plates on the peghead and fingerboard, the tasteful pearl inlays on both sides of the neck, and the elegant use of multilayer woods on the neck.
